In everyday life, nanomaterials provide novel functionalities in many products. For example, batteries and many of the electronic products we use each day such as touchscreens depend on nanomaterials for their performance.

Various nanomaterials have already been used for a longer time in cosmetics, sunscreens, disinfectants, colourants and fillers.

The term ‘product’ is often used to cover both chemical products (mixtures) and various articles.
