Stakeholder consultation on the definition of nanomaterial

The European Commission is working on a review process of its Recommendation 2011/696/EU on the definition of nanomaterial. As part of this process, the Commission is now launching an online targeted stakeholder consultation.

The EU Recommendation for the definition of a nanomaterial provides a common definition for the term nanomaterial that can be applied to different regulations across the EU. The current consultation is part of the review process required by the original Recommendation.

The consultation will be open until 30 June 2021. You can find more information and participate in the consultation here.
