A new document on the definition of nanomaterial
European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has released a document titled “Guidance on the implementation of the Commission Recommendation 2022/C 229/01 on the definition of nanomaterial”. This document outlines important terminology and concepts, provides a decision-making tool for identifying nanomaterials, and addresses identification of nanomaterials through measurements for the Recommendation on the definition of nanomaterial (2022/C 229/01). Additionally, the document includes an Annex listing documentary standards relevant to ensure a harmonised and coherent regulatory implementation of the definition of nanomaterial at both European Union and national level.
