EU research aims to revolutionise toxicity screening of nanomaterials

Test tubes and pipetteRead our latest Nanopinion guest column from Professor Andrew Nelson, Project Coordinator of the EU funded HISENTS project who talks about an experimental screening platform that mimics a living organism. The nearest thing to a “human-on-a-chip”.

"One of the many discoveries of HISENTS was the importance of the rapid screening of nanomaterials and indeed all substances. The main reason is that nanomaterial dispersions change immediately after being manufactured. HISENTS screens enabled us to follow the changes without delay following the output of nanomaterials from the production-line."
