Nanopinion: The advent of XBenes - a new class of quasi two-dimensional nanomaterials, bringing forth a new paradigm in energy materials

Read the latest Nanopinion by Prof. Kabeer Jasuja and Satadru Chakrabarty where they introduce XBenes, a class of quasi two-dimensional nanomaterials, set to transform energy material research. With their unique structure, XBenes promise to deliver more sustainable energy solutions, offering a glimpse into the future of high-performance, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly materials.

"Due to this radical difference between the bulk material and its nanoscaled counterpart, we have recently proposed that these nanomaterials be aptly termed as XBenes, the X encompasses the new and exciting properties that these 2D nanomaterials display. The B in Benes stands for boron and -ene is a suffix commonly used for planar materials for example graphene."
